What are some facts about judo?

I am doing a sport report on Judo, so I need some facts and some sources.|||Judo is the sport version of Jujitsu. Judo means the %26quot;gentle way%26quot; or %26quot;Way of yielding%26quot; and the techniques try to emphasis leverage and momentum to throw their opponent.

A clean throw (the person thrown has their feet go past the height of where there knees would be and the person throwing did not hit the ground) is considered an %26quot;Ippon%26quot; (EE-PAWN) or one point, and that individual wins the match.|||Kodokan Judo is the parent art of Brazilian Jujitsu.|||Judo is used by the Japanese Police.|||Judo came from Japan||| Judo was one of the first to be brought to America.See site below
