How long does it take to reach black belt in judo?

I got mine in ten years, i could have had it at 5 but i did not feel i was ready. the belt means nothing, its what you know and how you apply it. i knew plenty of people who were black belts and brown belts at that time who i felt should not have been wearing those belts and i did not want to be looked down upon by others for that too. so dont worry about getting a belt, just learn. a belt just keeps your pants up while you throw someone.|||congrats on the yellow, my judo sensei used to tell me, %26quot;a black belt is like a drivers license. it means you know how to drive, but it doesnt mean you know how to drive well.%26quot; so keep that in mind as you go up in rank too. |||If it is really only 3 years to get a blackbelt that is sad. Black belts shouldn%26#039;t come sooner than 10 years of training, as in my Shaolin Kung Fu.

Also, it is very true that the belt means nothing, it is what it symolizes. If you just want a belt, online you can buy a uniform and a belt for like 35 dollars|||IHaveQuestions is correct, you shouldnt be worried about that.|||It takes between 3 and 6 years , depending on the practitioner.|||Depends on your dedication and how much you practice.|||from my understanding about 3 years give or take a couple months and also the time it takes depends on the time and effort you put into it
