What is the difference between judo, kung fu and taikondo?

I will try to keep it as short as possible. I will answer this in a way that touches on the way these sports are usually presented.

Judo is a sport based around throwing people, using leverage and no hitting (in matches at least) and also using (the allowed) submission techniques.

Kung Fu is not an martial arts like judo but a way of life in which the learning of fighting techniques is important because it represents hard work and discipline. It is in the Chinese tradition of the journey being more important than the road you are travelling on. There are numerous styles and depending what for style it can emphasize kicking, punching are joint locking techniques.

Taekwondo is an fighting art that emphasizes kicks thrown from a mobile stance, employing the leg%26#039;s greater reach and power (compared to the arm). Taekwondo is an art which starts from offense and also includes techniques for blocking, punching and open-handed strikes and may also include various takedowns or sweeps, throws, and joint locks. The version we saw at the Olympics is the sparring version

These three also differ concerning their philosophy (being japanese, chinese and korean) which would take too long to write down. Wikipedia would be a great start to see what the exact differences are between these three.|||What%26#039;s the difference between medicine, plumbing, and law enforcement? They are different martial arts with many differences.
