I practiced Judo for 4 years and finished in 2002, if i start Judo again, can i retain my grade?

I was a green belt+1 when i left|||if you are member of an orgaization, ie. USJF or USJI, or if you are going to attend the same dojo then you should be able to retain your ranking.

it really depends on the dojo. if you are going to a new place, you may have to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to keep your green belt.

best way is to talk with the head instructor, maybe you can work something out.|||My old youth pastor was a judo black belt and walked away from the sport to become a minister, 15 years later he entered the Pan Am games and placed 7th in his division. So if he has still got it after 15 years I would think 5 wouldn%26#039;t take long to shake out the cobwebs.|||u should b able 2, but if u have forgotten alot u should talk with the instructer|||In most cases you would be able too. Just find a school and explain your situation. Take you last promotion certificate with you also. Most instructors will recognize the work you have put into an art before|||If you know how to do everything required to be that level then yes.
