What is the name of the cotton costume worn by Judo competitors?

Its called a gi or do gi . pronounced GEE or DOE GEE|||The Judoka (student of Judo) wears a UNIFORM called a Gi, it%26#039;s usually woven together in different thicknesses (in a single or double weave) starting from a 10oz. (heavyweight) blend of cotton up to 14oz. (ultraheavyweight) for competiton standards|||A Gi. yes thats it a Gi.|||As everyone else has stated, the uniform is called a Gi. However, it is a %26quot;specialty%26quot; Gi with padded shoulders and is usually called a Judo Gi just to differentiate it from a typical unpadded Karate Gi.

Also, if you are talking about the %26quot;skirt%26quot; sometimes worn by a Judoka, that is called a Hakama.

Hope this helps...|||Its a Gi (sp?)|||i think a gi, maaaaaaybeeee, tho , just just maybe ^ ^ ^ ^ ^|||It is called a Gi or Judogi.|||A Gi or Ghi|||even though it is a robe, the proper name is a gi.|||a gi....|||From what I have read it%26#039;s full name is uwagi. (perhaps, it differs because I%26#039;m doing ju jitsu?). But usually people call it gi.
