He won at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and now coming into mma. First of all why is he going to stop competing in Judo for the foreseeable future? And why is he coming to mma? I don%26#039;t have a problem with it its that he didn%26#039;t sign with dream which offered give around 5.5 million dollars for each fight and I think part of the gate. why did he decide to come to UFC instead?|||I don%26#039;t know his personal decision making strategy, but it had occurred to me that:
1. Winning the gold at the Olympics is about as high as you can go in what ever sport you are competing in. Perhaps he wants to test himself in an altogether more combatively comprehensive sport.
2. I%26#039;m sure UFC pays alot better than judo.
3. Finally, being such a high caliber athlete at 21 gives promise of a lengthy career in UFC. (injuries aside of course)
