Who holds the record for most judo world title wins?

First person to name the record holder, and the country of origin wins 10 points?|||Berghmans is a good one,

However Ryoko Tani (Tamura) from Japan, holds 6 world titles and 2 Olympic Gold medals.

So she and Berghmans are tied, however Ryoko has a Gold medal over her.

Also not sure where you get men had 5, Douillet had 4 and Yamashita had 4.|||Ingrid Berghmans from Belgiam has won a record six women%26#039;s world titles: in the Open in 1980, 1982, 1984, and 1986, and in the Under 72-kg. class in 1984 and 1989. In 1988, when women%26#039;s judo was introduced as an Olympic demonstration sport, Berghmans won the 72-kg. event.

she has six..... men have only had five
