What muscles are mainly used in judo?

-the key muscles and BEST way to give them mass or strength?|||There%26#039;s not really a need to develop one body part more than the next in Judo. I would say explosive Olympic style lifts would be superior to body building or power lifting. The Clean and Jerk, Snatch, Clean and Press, Push Press, and Plyometrics would be really good.|||your tummy or waist I think|||Judo uses all muscles. Especially when the fight hits the mat for newaza. best way to train them , in my opinion, is through body wieght exercises. Sit ups, pull ups, push ups, burpees ect.|||Judo isnt about strength,

i did aikido which is a fairly similar martial art for a number of years,

basically its about receiving your assailant, not using strength or force, dont worry, through training you will get VERY strong in the areas that matter|||Back (lats), Shoulders (delts), bis and tris, core muscles (abs), quads and hams....there is a lot of hip action and twisting.
