How to do a judo role?

How do i improve my judo role?|||Hi there

The only two tips i have is to make sure you are as close to the ground as you can before you start to roll. Bend your knees to get you closer to the floor. Don%26#039;t just chuck yourself into the mat. And secondly once you have begun to roll keep everything tucked in so that its compact and neat. This prevents anyone from taking hold of your limbs once you start to roll. Nearly all the ukemi i have seen from Judo and some Jujutsu schools is useless unless its performed on mats. That%26#039;s why its so important to get as close to the ground as possible before you roll. Master these principles and you should be able to roll on any surface. Otherwise gravity wins!

Best wishes

idai|||Do you mean %26quot;Judo Roll%26quot;?

Or Judo Role,like a role an actor plays in a movie?

Try youtube for some vids.|||First check your technique: you%26#039;re never going to get better at rolling if you%26#039;re doing them wrong. It only takes asking your instructor for them to help you.

But always make sure you are rolling from one shoulder to the opposite hip (in a diagonal line).
